Sheep Across the Road – Moving Day

I have talked about the Sheep Across the Road in two previous posts. December 14, another foggy day, was move-out day.

There were three groups of sheep, each with 180 to 200 ewes plus lambs.

Portable corrals had been set up on the dirt road along the canal.

The truck has four decks for sheep.

This photo shows the group of sheep grazing just south of the canal in the background.

After the truck was loaded with two groups, the third group was brought up the road and into the corrals.

That last group was picked up the next day.

Later that day Ginny and I walked our regular route along the road.

Here is what is left to remind me of the sheep who were there.
