
I admire sunflowers and this year’s sunflowers are stunning. There are only about ten plants in the garden but there are dozens of blooms on them. The tallest is 9-1/2 feet!

The bees are enjoying them too.

They are covered with pollen.

Most of the sunflowers grew from last year’s seeds already in the ground. The flower in this photo is the exception. I found a seed packet from long ago and started a few seedlings. One grew and I transplanted it when it was only a couple of inches tall.

You can see the difference in color when compared to the yellow flowers.
